PulseWatch

Terms of service

Effective 27 September 2026

1. About PulseWatch

PulseWatch is personal, non-commercial software that, with your permission, reads your own Google Health data (read-only) and sends you notifications about your wearable and your recent sleep and recovery metrics. It is built and operated by its developer (GitHub: @usmanmateen) for personal use and is not offered as a commercial or public service. By authorising PulseWatch or using this website, you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy.

2. Not medical advice

PulseWatch is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Its messages describe your own data relative to your own recent history and are informational only. Do not use PulseWatch in an emergency or rely on it to monitor a health condition. If you have concerns about your health, consult a qualified healthcare professional.

3. Your account and permissions

PulseWatch needs a Google account with a compatible wearable in the Google Health app. You grant read-only access through Google's consent screen and can revoke it at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. You are responsible for the security of your Google account and devices. Only authorise PulseWatch for data you are entitled to access.

4. Third-party services

PulseWatch relies on the Google Health API, Cloudflare and the ntfy notification service. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms. PulseWatch's use of information received from Google APIs follows its privacy policy and the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

5. Availability

PulseWatch checks for new data about every 10 minutes and depends on your tracker, your phone's sync, and third-party services. Notifications may therefore be delayed, repeated or missed — for example during a Google or Cloudflare outage, or if the notification service limits delivery. PulseWatch may change, pause or stop at any time.

6. Acceptable use

Do not use PulseWatch to access data you are not authorised to access, or attempt to interfere with, probe or overload the service or the systems it relies on.

7. No warranty

PulseWatch is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from reliance on — or the absence of — a PulseWatch notification. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Changes and ending use

These terms may be updated; changes will be published on this page with a new effective date. You can stop using PulseWatch at any time by revoking its access. The operator may discontinue PulseWatch at any time.

10. Contact

Questions about these terms can be raised by opening an issue at github.com/usmanmateen/pulsewatch/issues, or by using the support email shown on PulseWatch's Google consent screen.
